To coincide with the launch of their new color system at Neocon 2016, Standard Issue and myself were asked to revisit 3form's Chicago showroom space. The goal was to translate the idea of the color system, a flat grid of 250 colors, from two dimensions into three - accomplished by suspending almost two-dozen 40" wide discs of 3form material from the ceiling. Disco ball motors were used to allow each disk to rotate slowly, and the resulting overlapping, ever-changing forest of color proved irresistible to passers by. All photography by Christopher Barrett.
